Twenty-five years. A Silver Anniversary. That’s a quarter-century of building precision custom firearms!

It sounds so long ago, but sometimes it seems like only yesterday that we started our gunsmithing business in a little shop in Pennsylvania. In the early days, we built, customized and repaired several different types of guns. But, after our move to Illinois, we focused on two of America’s favorites – the 1911 pistol and, a little later, the AR-15 rifle. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Because Les Baer Custom has never settled for building just any 1911 or AR, from the get-go, we were determined to build only the best. So we have designed and built them, ourselves, from the ground-up, using our own specifications, our own prints, and our own parts. We even machine all the components on our own CNC machines. Then our trained gunsmiths assemble every single pistol and rifle by hand to ensure that they really are truly “custom” firearms that run with the precision of a fine watch, never skip a beat, and shoot with uncanny accuracy. That’s why both our 1911 pistols and our Ultimate AR .223 rifles have become the choice of so many professionals, from competitors to law enforcement officers.
In honor of our Silver Anniversary, Les Baer Custom has introduced two very special new pistols and one new rifle. You can learn about all of them in this catalog:

• First, there’s our 25th Anniversary Model 1911, a custom engraved collector’s special edition pistol that’s almost too beautiful to shoot. But, mark my words…like all our 1911 pistols, it WILL shoot like a million bucks.

• Our brand new Ultimate Recon Pistol is a great choice for either duty or self defense. It comes with an integral Picatinny rail to allow use of several different tactical lights, to give you that extra edge when you’re confronted with things that go bump in the night.

• Our new CMP Rifle is our first-ever rifle that meets all the criteria for the Civilian Marksmanship’s (formerly DCM) service rifle competition…plus it’s made from beginning to end by Les Baer Custom. I have a feeling the standards at Camp Perry are suddenly going to be set a little higher.
