Authorization To Carry (ATC) Training (Upcoming dates will be posted soon, please reserve spot)
Authorization to Carry. An Authorization to Carry [ATC] is a permit issued by the government of Canada under the Firearms Act. An ATC allows an individual to lawfully possess a restricted, or a specific class of, prohibited firearm that is loaded or possessed with readily accessible ammunition.
The ATC course is for new armored security personnel new hire(s). It is a 5 day course in accordance with the CFO’s ATC (Authorization to Carry) program.
The ATC course includes two days of in class theory instruction and class instruction by a certified instructor, as well as class discussion and hands on practical training. After course completion there is a written examination with requires a mandatory 90% pass. The practical portion is three days that are spent at the range in a combination of dry practice, live fire drills, scenarios and discussion.
At the end of day three each candidate is expected to pass the CFO standard Pistol Course of Fire.
